Tapered Side Batons: If your opening isn’t perfectly square, we can taper the side batons so the gate fits neatly and securely. This service is available for an additional £18.
All gates are produced accurate to within 2mm for a precise fit.
Homes with pets often require flexible barriers that can be opened easily by adults but remain secure for animals. Our wooden pet gates are built to be sturdy, dependable, and simple to operate, making them suitable for busy households.
Because each gate is made to measure, they can be installed in standard doorways, wider openings, hallways, or unusual spaces where off-the-shelf pet gates may not fit properly.
The result is a gate that functions reliably while still blending naturally with your home’s interior.
Our gates are available in a range of quality woods including Traditional Knotty Pine, Walnut, Ash, Beech, and Oak. Other hardwoods may be available on request.
Pine is our standard material and remains the most popular choice. It is a beautiful, strong, and hard-wearing wood that suits both modern and traditional homes. As a natural product, pine gradually deepens in colour over time, developing into a warm honey tone that enhances its character.

Each gate is supplied with galvanised hinges already attached along with a galvanised sliding bolt for secure closing.
For those who prefer a different finish, brass hinges and bolts are available as an optional upgrade for £12. We charge only what we pay for these fittings and do not add any additional markup.

Our pet gates are designed to be strong, practical, and adaptable. Spindle spacing can be adjusted to suit different pets, helping prevent smaller animals from slipping through while still maintaining an open and airy appearance.
Because every gate is handcrafted individually, we can also accommodate unusual openings or specific requirements, ensuring the finished gate works perfectly within your home.

Every gate is handcrafted in a small home workshop by a fully qualified joiner with over 30 years of experience. What started as a passion for woodworking now includes creating bespoke gates, furniture, and wooden pieces designed to last.
Because our gates are made to order, we can provide solutions for awkward doorways, wide openings, and homes where standard pet gates simply don’t fit.

That’s absolutely fine. Submit your measurements and add a note about where it’s going (stairs/doorway/patio), and we’ll help you choose the best option.
